Do IGA have course assessments?

Yes, in our Level 1 courses, we typically assess the coaches throughout the duration of the course. The Tutor may also conduct an end-of-course assessment. However, for Level 2 and above, video assessments are required.

At IGA, the tutor will select four skills for you to work on independently. You will need to create videos demonstrating your additional learning, which should include progressions and a clear understanding of the skills. The tutor does not require the full skills to be supported, as these would have been demonstrated and practiced during the course. Instead, they are looking for expertise in technique, feedback and ensuring the safe development of the gymnast.

How often are IGA Courses booked?

GA courses are scheduled based on demand, as well as tutor and venue availability. Please note that if a course is already available in a particular region, another session will not be scheduled until the existing course is full or there are at least five coaches on our course request list.

How can we get notified about IGA Courses?

If you are an IGA member, your club administrator will receive an email with information about any upcoming courses and how to book them. You can also find these courses on our course calendar. Alternatively, you can email us at info@igauk.com to be added to our course request list, and we will contact you as soon as a course date is available.

How many days are an IGA Course?

IGA courses are currently offered as either one-day or two-day sessions, depending on the discipline, level, and course syllabus. You can determine the duration of each course by referring to the course syllabus.
