We are a small family-run club, providing gymnastics and trampoline lessons in York and Wetherby. Our club is a community, where the coaches know all the children and everyone gets the same quality of coaching regardless of the number of hours they do or their ability. Our main aim is that children enjoy the lessons!

We have grown from 1 class a week to running 5 days a week and are now looking for a Gymnastics Level 2 Coach to help us continue to grow the club. This role is a great chance to get to know a small business and shape the role to suit you.

What you will be doing

Running great gymnastics lessons for children of all ages and abilities.

• Helping design the lesson structure, working to continuously improve the club.
• Dealing with basic parents’ queries, escalating where necessary.
• Mentoring Assistant Coaches, making sure they are comfortable supporting the running of lessons.
• Ensuring safeguarding standards are upheld at all times, with support from the Directors.
• Working proactively to improve the club.

What we want from you

• A Level 2 Qualification in Gymnastics (IGA or British Gymnastics)
• An interest in working for a small business where you can really make an impact.
• Ability to build a rapport with children and other coaches
• Previous experience running gymnastics lessons is desirable
• Previous experience in mentoring is desirable

Other Details

• Salary is £15 per hour
• Hours are flexible to suit the candidate – we are looking for a minimum of 8 hours per week but could also offer up to 30 hours for the right candidate.
• Hours would be mainly evenings and weekends.
• You must be over 18

• The position will primarily be based at Clifton Moor (YO30 4RA) but ad-hoc shifts may also be available at The Mount School (YO24 4DD) and Wetherby High School (LS22 6JS, transport can be provided to Wetherby).

• Full time gymnastics facility offering general gymnastics to all ages from Parent & Toddler to Adults including a very popular programme for young people with disabilities. Currently classes run term time only but there is scope to support a programme of holiday clubs during the school holidays. This is an opportunity to join a team as we move forward and develop. We will have a position available in 2023 for an additional REBOUND THERAPY and REBOUND PLUS training course TUTOR ReboundTherapy.org is growing rapidly.

With the increasing popularity of the 3-step pathway to recreational trampoline coach training, which has used Rebound Therapy and Rebound Plus as its first two courses, we have a need for an additional tutor.

This will be a self-employed consultancy position and the person we choose to work with will be based within 30 miles radius of Stoke on Trent but will be required to work further afield. Extensive experience of trampoline coaching and working with people with disabilities, plus 100% reliability and an ability to get on well with people are essential requirements for this contract. You may already be a training course tutor for another organisation, or maybe you are a highly experienced coach who wishes to progress into coach tutoring. We pay extremely generous fees and we work with the best.

Full training and mentoring will be provided.

About Us

Little Gymnasts deliver recreational gymnastics classes to children aged 4-12 years.  We offer weekly classes and holiday clubs from venues in Chester, Wirral, Chorlton and are looking to expand to South Liverpool and Warrington.  Our team of coaches have been delivering classes since 2013 and we have a great reputation in the local area.  Our ethos is around enabling children of all abilities to get involved in gymnastics.  We have a varied, comprehensive, and fun curriculum and currently have around 400 children attending our classes each week.  We are always looking for talented and enthusiastic coaches to join us.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for gymnastics coaches to join our team.

We are looking to expand our classes in current locations and also add more locations.  We need some more enthusiastic, committed, and experienced coaches to join us.  Depending on your qualifications and experience you could be running sessions with assistant coaches to support you or assisting lead coaches to deliver fantastic classes.  We will support you at the same time as enabling you to develop your skills as a coach.  As we only deliver recreational classes, we are all about participation and enjoyment for the children.  Whilst we have strong processes and a fabulous curriculum in place as we are a small business our coaches have a real input into the way we run things.

Ideally, we are looking for level 1 or 2 qualified gymnastics coaches but if you are an ex-gymnast, cheerleader or acro dancer with some coaching experience we would still like to speak to you as there is potentially the opportunity to gain qualifications with us.  You need to enjoy working with children, be passionate about gymnastics, be confident speaking with children and parents and have the ability to think on your feet.

Hours

Our weekly classes run evenings and weekends during school term time and holiday clubs run in the daytime during school holidays.  Our coaches work between 3-12 hours a week and we can agree any number of hours to suit you.  Holiday club hours will be agreed separately.

Pay

We pay between £10 and £25 an hour depending on experience and qualifications.  Coaches are self-employed.

• We are ideally looking for qualified staff with a minimum of level 1, however, we are in greater need of level 2 and above. It would also be helpful if the applicant could drive but it is not essential.
• We are looking for coaches to work within our recreational gymnastics department which runs from ages 2.5 years and above. We run all level classes from beginner to advanced. We would be able to offer mentoring, interclub training, and upskilling.
• We have a variety of part time and flexible hours available across the club with the opportunity to have up to 22 hours per week. 
• We pay our coaches monthly and the pay amount depends on their level of qualification, this can be provided in the interview stage as we have slightly different pay structures depending on where they will be working. If anyone is 18 plus and are looking for a permanent employed role salaries start from £18,000 and this would be for 30 hours per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time member of staff to join our team, within our Olympic Standard gymnasium  providing sessions, classes and parties for children in Aylesbury and the surrounding areas.
