Access is for clubs or leisure centres that would like access to our coaching education. Clubs can affiliate for £9.99 and register their coaches on the portal. Or individual coaches who are not attached to an IGA club can register. Please note Access coaches are not known to IGA, therefore they sadly are classed as higher risk, due to this the insurance for the year is higher at £59.99. All coaches must be DBS checked, hold a safeguarding certificate and have Access insurance to book onto any IGA courses. It does not cover public liability, it will only cover the coaches when attending an IGA coaching course or open event.
Unfortunately, if insurance stipulations are not met then you will be liable for any claims. IGA will only take liability for clubs who are compliant and follow IGA policies and procedures.
No, all regular participating gymnast require to be insured either via bulk or on the portal.
Yes! As long as you meet our criteria to affiliate. We require clubs to have two registered coaches, one must be a Level 2 in the discipline they are teaching, and there must be an independent welfare officer, who is not a coach or family related to the head coach. You can register directly here: Register Your Club
It’s very quick for our team to register your club on JustGo, However the compliance part is down to the club to ensure they have what they need. Here are the steps:
1. Register your club with IGA
2. We create your account on the portal and send you an intention form
3. Fill in the intention form correctly, providing all coaches names
4. We will run a compliance check, once everyone is correct you will then submit any final documents. This can be bulk members if you are a Legacy club.
5. We add your affiliation and invoice you for the year.
Unfortunately not, we have three packages only. Legacy (full affiliation recreational and competitive), Unity (recreational only) and Access (access to coaching courses and open events).
Yes, summer camps/holiday camps are all covered under your Public Liability. Gymnasts do not need to be registered individually.
Yes, provided the session has two coaches present in the venue, both coaches require coach membership and all credential requirements. Gymnasts who are not IGA members, but want to use your services must be registered on the IGA portal as a gymnast. Unfortunately, one-to-one sessions are in our high risk category and must be followed correctly. Coaching without another coach present will invalidate your insurance.
Yes, birthday parties are now covered under the Independent Gymnastics Policy. There can be a maximum of 25 party guests, but they must be supervised as per our participant ratio information. There must also be a Level 2 present and all coaches must have the correct compliance. *Trampolining birthday parties are also covered under the same rules, but are subject to a higher excess.
Yes, we provide DBS/PVG and Garda Vetting. For DBS checks, this can be done via your JustGo profile, by heading to ‘Credentials’ and selecting DBS Request. If you require a PVG or Garda Vetting please contact safeguarding@igauk.com
Unfortunately this means your club will be classed as a non-affiliated club which means regardless of your members purchasing on time, your club will remain uninsured until affiliation has been completed.
Unfortunately we are unable to include Trampoline Parks in our policy, and you would not be covered.

They will need to select the correct membership for their age group. Please note any taking part in any form of coaching will require coach insurance. Coach insurance is a dual insurance will allow ooaches to judge and compete.
No, Coach membership is the highest dual membership, it covers +16 years who are still competing and it covers you to Judge whilst still being able to coach.
Yes! All they require is the Judge membership and the same compliance, DBS and safeguarding.
Yes, if they are coaching in any capacity and are around children they must be compliant.
All coaches must had a clear DBS/PVG/NI Access or Garda Vetting, they must also have an IGA safeguarding certificate or any CPD accredited safeguarding certificate. These must be uploaded to the portal by the coach, for approval by our safeguarding team. Please note this compliance applies to all coaches, legacy, unity or access.
This will be due to your account not meeting the correct compliance for us to offer insurance coverage. Please ensure you have uploaded your DBS (or equivalent) and your safeguarding certificate to the portal, these will be approved by our safeguarding team. Once approved the option to purchase will appear.
Yes, please ensure when submitting your oversea’s qualifications, you have uploaded the syllabus for us to match like for like. It is super important that they match our qualifications to ensure you are correctly insured and covered.
Yes provided the syllabus matches our syllabus we can match like-for-like. All other NGB qualifications are automatically transferred. If you are unsure if your qualification is recognised please email safeguarding@igauk.com.
No, coaching above your qualification will invalidate your insurance. Your club will be liable for any claims including any excess payments required.
This will be due to a condition becoming expired on your profile. Please select the credential, and take a look at the pop up, this will show what you’re missing and why it is showing as inactive pending conditions.
We recommend members renew their DBS certificate every 3 years. Alternatively you can register for the DBS Update Service. Please note when registering for the update service, the original copy of your DBS must be uploaded.

Yes, all gymnasts attending regular classes/sessions including recreational and competitive members require IGA membership, this will entitle them to personal accident cover, safeguarding support, access to competitions and events.
Gymnasts can have up to three sessions covered by IGA before they are required to be registered on the portal. These three sessions are covered provided the club has active affiliation to IGA.
Once the three trial sessions are complete, the club must either ask the parent to create an account on purpose portal and purchase membership, or they must be added to the clubs master bulk spreadsheet and emailed into membership@igauk.com for invoicing. Please note the insurance is not activated until payment and purchase is complete.
Yes, all recreational gymnasts can either be registered on the clubs bulk membership, or they can be registered on the portal by selecting ‘Recreational Gymnast’.
Yes all competitive gymnasts must all be on the portal, this allows them to be entered into all IGA competitions.
Yes, parents can purchase their own membership for their children, we would simply recommend that they purchase the correct membership.
Unfortunately if you forget to register a gymnast, this may leave them at risk if an accident should occur. IGA will not be liable for any accidents that happens whilst a gymnast is unregistered. We recommend them to be registered as soon as possible.
Yes, they do not need to purchase two memberships, they simply add the other club to their profile. In the case of a gymnast being registered at multiple clubs we recommend the parent purchases the membership directly.
Simply email us the membership ID to info@igauk.com and we can update your club preferences.
No problem, this one is a simple fix. Please note that the system won’t allow the same email address to be used twice as a username and this could be why you’re having difficulty signing up a sibling. When signing up the sibling, simply manually change the username. If you require assistance with updating your username, feel free to reach out to us via email.
