Our Access Only membership tier is designed for clubs who wish to take part in IGA coaching courses.
It is important to understand that Access Only affiliation strictly limits the club’s involvement with IGA to coaching education and development. This means the club and its coaches are eligible to enrol in and complete IGA coaching courses, but they do not gain access to other core IGA services, such as competition entry, safeguarding support, insurance for gymnasts, or access to national programmes and events. This tier is designed for clubs or individuals who are solely focused on gaining qualifications through IGA and not participating in the wider offerings of the organisation.
Should the club wish to engage more broadly with IGA, including registering gymnasts or attending events, an upgrade to Unity or Legacy affiliation would be required.
Coaches must have active Access Coach Membership and a valid DBS uploaded to the Just Go portal ensuring all contact details are filled in correctly. These details must always remain updated throughout the year and DBS details must be active in order to enrol onto a course.
Club must be affiliated to IGA Access Membership and ensure all coaches accessing these courses are registered on the JustGo portal. It is the club’s responsibility to ensure the coaches are enrolled onto the appropriate courses and have all updated credentials.
Access Only provides eligibility to enrol in IGA coaching courses and receive certification. It is purely for coach education and development. Coaches are only insured at IGA courses including the travel to and from the course.
Yes, certificates earned through IGA coaching courses remain valid, regardless of affiliation tier.
Both clubs and individual coaches can hold Access Only accounts if the sole purpose is to access coaching courses.
Yes, clubs can upgrade to Unity (recreational-focused) or Legacy (full access including squads, safeguarding, and events) at any time.
No, safeguarding support is only available to Unity and Legacy affiliated clubs.
No, Access Only does not include Public Liability insurance or cover for gymnasts. It is strictly for coaching course access for coaches and will only insure the coaches at IGA courses.
No, Access Only clubs are not eligible for competition entry. You would need to upgrade to Unity (Gymnastics For All only) or Legacy affiliation.
